Bitcoin Magazine Books launched a third-anniversary campaign on Friday for Aaron van Wirdum’s The Genesis Book, headlined by a Collectors Edition limited to 333 hand-signed and individually numbered hardcovers. The initiative is operated by BTC Inc., the publisher of Bitcoin Magazine.
Pricing and Package Details
The standard Collectors Edition package is priced at $221. Each copy is housed in an exclusive Genesis Block slipcase and includes a limited trading card with a Certificate of Authenticity, a collector pin, a sticker sheet, and a digital package. Van Wirdum, the former editor-in-chief of Bitcoin Magazine, hand-signs and hand-numbers each volume.
Two premium single copies are available outside the standard numbering queue. Copy number one is listed at $5,000, while copy number 21 is priced at $2,500. According to the campaign FAQ, standard collector numbers are assigned in purchase order starting at number two and skipping number 21.
The campaign materials state that once preorders close, the signed print run will not be reproduced. Physical orders for the collector editions are scheduled to ship in calendar year 2027.
Alternative Editions
Beyond the limited release, Bitcoin Magazine Books offers a Premium Edition hardcover for $160. This version features foil stamping, a ribbon marker, stained page edges, and custom endsheets. It is not limited, signed, numbered, or slipcased, and it excludes the collector accessories and digital files included in the higher-tier package.
A standalone Digital Package is available for $9.99, delivering the ebook in EPUB format and the audiobook in MP4 immediately upon purchase. Van Wirdum discovered bitcoin in 2013 and later led the publication’s editorial desk.
